Student Council The Student Council is the governing body of the school. The main duty of the council is to discuss matters of problems concerning the school or the students, and find possible solutions. Common problems that almost always face the council are how to raise money for the Student Body Fund or how to increase attendance and school spirit at games. The council also discusses improvements that could be made around the school and decides what action should be taken. The council is made up of the student body officers, a faculty advisor, representatives from each class, presidents of the various clubs and the editors of the school paper and yearbook. 18 BACK ROW, L. And here's wishing that all the teachers had even a worse time than we had. I, PAT FINNEMAN, hereby bequeath Mr. Payzant's warm comments concerning my sharp ability in mechanical drawing to Duane Thielke so that he may develop my great skill and receive my low grades. I, MARV HIMMEL, being of discordant mind and frail body do hereby bequeath to the unfortunate Harry Jones my stupendous ability to finish my short advanced math assign- ments on time. I, DONALD WESSNER, hereby bequeath my Supreme Driving Ability and my car to Harvey Tuchardt in hopes that he may have better luck with it than I have. (At least he may make the fenders match.) I, BOB JOHNSTON, being a noble Senior of sound mind, body, etc., etc., do here- by bequeath my superior knowledge of all related subjects to anyone who thinks he knows it all. I, DENNIS MILLER, do hereby bequeath my supreme (?) co-ordination, strong vocal cords, and, of course, my big mouth to the rally squad-whom I'm positive will turn me down.... to the Queen of the rally squad, I do hereby bequeath — you guessed it — my- self ! I, TIMI SWANSON, having gray hair and frazzled nerves, do hereby bequeath to Mr. Smith, next year's annual staff with the fond hope that he can get the annual out (in an orderly fashion) without having too many extra pages in a certain section !!!! I, MARLENE SCHULTZ, being of weak will and impressionable mind do solemnly will my ability to sleep soundly through American Problems class to any junior who can- not stand to face boredom, and my editorship of the WAPITI to the next naive fool who thinks he can accomplish anything in Journalism class. I, JOYCE McCOY, do hereby bequeath my major illnesses, my unique excuse-writing ability and all my tattered admit slips to any underclassman who feels the need of a few days vacation. I, BARBARA LOWMAN, being of rattled mind and tattered body, do hereby bequeath and bequit my post as Chief Riot Controller, otherwise called Pep Club President, to Clareanne Herman. 4« I, SYLVIA WADDLE, hereby bequeath my ability to convince Mrs. Miller that the class treasury has $1,000 to the poor Sophomore class and my ability to punch holes through lunch tickets, milk cartons and fingernails to anyone desiring such a talent. 48 Juniors Stan Green Harold Brewer f urtiand Roger Perkins Mick Michelsen Dale Yingling 50 Dennis Ekanger Clydenna Walker r 1 Harvey Tuchardt Terry Reed Mick Michelsen Treasurer Clydenna Walker Vice President Dennis Ekanger President Clareanne Herman Secretary SI sdjouioijdos Norma Perkins Ron Mostella Elbertia Bryant Stan Humphrey Marie Brewer Susan Trapnell Susan Godsey Jo Ann Cartier 54 Ron Mostella Vice President Connie Ross Treasurer Kirby Johnson President Jo Ann Cartier Secretary 55 Freshmen Karen Burroughs mm Rodney Nichols Linda Clark Nancy Abercrombie Chuck Low man Nita Payzant Steve Johnston Douglas Luke 58 Jerry Handegard Vice President Winnie Johnson Secretary Chuck Lowman President Nita Payzant Treasurer 59 Undergrads Steve McDonald Richard Frank Secretary Sergeant at Arms Charlene Nicholson Janice Mostella Treasurer Vice President Bill Trapnell FTesident (Not pictured) Charles Rockwell Diane Yingling Vice President Sergeant at Arms Clinton Swearingen Cindy Riddle Treasurer Secretary Marian Todd President 62 Dale Reed Diane Yingling Craig Wester Allan Camerer Eighth Grade Cindy Riddle Sharon Sanders Marilyn Nichols Sharon Carey Roger Terrel Paul Davis Paul Ehinger Clint Swearingen Marion Todd Jim Wegner k Ronnie Lyda 63 Seventh Charlene Nicholson Eula Godsey Richard Frank c Carolyn Abercrombie Alana Schultz 64 65 Advertising WALLY'S UNION 76 STATION MIDWAY GARDENS JOHN'S SHOE STORE HI'S CLEANERS MEL'S PHARMACY COAST TO COAST STORE SVENDSEN HARDWARE E. 1ST OAKRIDGE, OREGON MASTER ENGRAVERS, INC. 1 15 S.W.
