Senior Class Prophecies As we enter this slightly battered Loggers' Den for the class of '58's tenth reunion we see some old familiar people, some with a few extra pounds here and there and some with slightly greying hair. Why here comes Judie Shorey, and her child—no children—wait, I take that all back— her brood (all nine of them). My, that trailer house must be about full by now!! Oh, Cliff Hawthorne, how nice to see him. They tell me he's going crazy trying to invent a pill to grow taller men. There's Hla Dimmick—I say that pony tail she purchased in Portland is wearing slightly thin. In the door comes Leroy (Crash) Johnson, new foreman of the Westfir Junk Yard for un- wanted cars. We have received a letter from Betty Jo Canterbury. She writes that she is sorry but she is unable to be here because she is still working to put Don through college. Mike Cross has made a special trip down from Portland to be with the class. He has spent most of his time there since the seniors went on their trip May 16, 1958. Judy Schroeder's trusty old mule pack brought her down from Wolfe Mountain. This is her first time away from the look-out since graduation ten years ago. Larry Ashcroft is still residing in Westfir and is President of the Westfir Kennel Club of which his dog Bowser is the charter member. Darlene Thielke got tired of fighting her poodle cut every night and now has her own automatic pin curl setter. Wade Harrison certainly isn't a lonesome wolf—he's surrounded by beautiful girls and he likes it!! Nancy Perkins still likes to eat, so we've noticed. Her only complaint is that she wishes she didn't enjoy it so much for that kind of enjoyment shows. Larry Mull has told me he has his own disc-jockey program—of course his theme song is the Mau Mau Tune. Well that's just a brief run-down on each of the seniors—it was good to see all of them again. Now 1 can hardly wait for the 15th Class Reunion. Commencement Exercise 12 I, Larry (Bowser) Ashcroft, do bequeath to Pete Himmel my ability for shooting off car roofs. I, Betty Canterbury, do bequeath to Arlene Thielke my terrific ability to sing. I, Mike Cross (being a generous soul), do bequeath all of my gas bills to Larry Mostella. I, Ilia Dimmick, do bequeath my short hair to Delma Baird so she may have both short and long hair whenever she wants. I, Wade Harrison, do bequeath my great talent in English to Penny Miller. (This should really be a boost to her grade). I, Clifford Hawthorne, being of weak mind and strong back, do hereby bequeath my locker ( 62) to Don Griffith in hopes that he may capitalize on it since it is the closest one to the lunch line. (I tried!) I, Leroy Johnson, do bequeath all my laziness (and I've got plenty) to all our future opponents to enable us to win all games easier. I, Larry Mull, do bequeath to Donald Casey my ability for getting into trouble. I, Nancy Perkins, do bequeath my ability for self-control to Doug Thompson since his policy is, 'Keep yourself and your car under control at all times when passing on or over curves!! I, Judy Schroeder, do bequeath my four study halls to any poor junior who has a lot of time to do nuthin. I, Judie Shorey, do bequeath my permanent seat in the Pokey to Arlene Thielke. I, Darlene Thielke, do bequeath my ability to work with figures (the ones in the Student Body Account) to anyone crazy enough to want it. 13 Senior Baby (2) (6) (9) (10) Snapshots 1. Wade Harrison 2.
