PROPHECY As I turn on my crystal ball T. V. set, and tune it in, I see some of my old classmates demonstrating their occupations and telling the world who they are. Let us first travel to South Africa, the home of that world-famous head shrinker, JoAnn Johnson. She is very happy with her work, and quite successful I might add. Her collection totals 543 heads. Now I see Joan Afdahl as president of the student body at U.C.L.A. It has just been announced that Mamie Walker has just been elected Mrs. America for 1977! Loretta Farmer has had a bit of bad luck. While drying someone's hair, her beauty shop burnt down. She has begun a new profession of raising goats. Charles Tistadt and Danny Hammond are quite famous now. They are traveling from school to school displaying their ping-pong abilities through National School Assemblies. Jim Love enters the picture as a famous flag-pole painter. He even has his own business. Jim McDonald, Jim Love's pal, waddles in and informs us that he is now the fat man of Barnum and Bailey's Circus. Oh! There's Darla Logan, pitching her third game of the world series. It's another strike! NO-----no the umpire calls it a ball. By the way, that umpire looks familiar. Why it's Don Thatcher, who's profession is umpiring women's softball games. Let's switch channels. There's Ouida Owens. She made use of her talented voice and is now singing the commercials for Speeds Alkaseltzer. Now I see Dick McCoy who tells us he is now teaching young ladies how to care for their children. He also tells us his good friend Clifford Himmel is still trying to get his masters degree in college. Lottie Sarvinski is now a teacher of midgets at Princeton University. Last but not least is Doyle Parks who is now the worlds champion tree planter. Now that I have seen my old classmates and see what they are doing I can turn off my T. V. set and relax 12
