Also, the next year, the entering sophomore class brought with it the first female student in the history of the school, Sharon Puza. With the addition of the Allied Health and Culinary Arts Programs female students have since become commonplace. In sports we continued our firsts having the schools soccer team being selected to the Massachusetts Small School State Soccer Tournament. The team was led by it ' s Bi- County League and All Western Mass. Small School All Stars Konrad Sadkowsid and Tim Bein. Also, Basketball had a league star in Al Bobecki who was noted for his fine of- fensive play. Konrad Sadkowski continued to reap honors by capturing the Happy Houli- han Award for the outstanding Catholic Scholar Athlete. The welcoming speech at graduation was delivered by our Class President Tim McLane. He had been given able assistance by the other class officers: Vice President, Garry Tin- ney, Secretary, Sharon Puza and Treasurer, William Brick. Others that represented our class were Ken Kratzenberg and Mark Sileikis to YAC-SAC, Konrad Sadkowski to Boy ' s State and Sharon Puza to Girl ' s State. Awards and honors were received by many of our classmates. The Valedictorians Ken- neth Pazik and Konrad Sadkowski were noted for their academic acheivement through scholarships and awards. The prized Caba Award was shared by Konrad Sadkowski and Jeff Conroy. The Class of 1978 will always remember the leadership of the faculty that led us through our tenure here at Voke. The teachers as well as administrators worked hard to give us the necessary tools to excell at our vocations. The memory of our stay here at Westfield Vocational High School will be with us always. 53 CLASS CHARACTERISTICS Most Popular Student Konrad SadUowski Most Pleasing Personality Bill Perryman Handsomest Boy John Savery Most Respected Student Lech Sadkowski Shyest Senior Max Kusnierz Noisiest Senior Robert Crawford Best Dressed Bill Perryman Biggest Eater Richard Pitoniak Quietest Senior John Hayes Class Clown Bill Brick Most Likely to Succeed Mark Sileikis Class Heavyweight Earl Stone Class Lightweight John Hayes Strongest Student Lech Sadkowski Weakest Student Keith Griffin Class Lover Jeff Mitchell Girl Hater Tim McLane Favorite Rock Group Lynnard Skynnard Favorite Movie Star Wars Favorite Teacher ' ■- ' Teachers Pet R V ' ° Tall Tale Tellers John Raposa and Jim Franklin Class Athlete Jeff Conroy 54 CLASS WILL To Mr. Peters — good luck in his new position as Director.
