The back to basics movement, despite its essential strength, ignores the findings of much recent educational research.-Elizabeth Corieil Students seem to be becoming complex in terms of the cultural, economic. political and social phenomena that they are bombarded with. And. therefore, greater attention is demanded of me to meet the more complex and radically differing needs of each student.-Robert Eyre I believe the world of communication is rapidly growing. I feel our methods of communication and of seeking information w» l change our lives. It's the age of the computer and television advancement and I wonder if we are prepared. -JoAnn Gainer Students today are more in tune with the reality that the world is the challenger, the student the challenged; that it is the ability to perform, and not ignorance or defiance, that Involves them in the pursuit of their own goals.- .cvs Hopkins We reflect a more conservative, cautious, and self-directed culture. Changes in the society are reflected in the microcosm of the high school. I think that learning is magic when it works .-Paula Roy The Westfield school system differs from the others I've taught in because each school says it it is going to make an effort to help each student individually; Westfield High School is one that actually does. And I like that.-Ethel Williams Walt Clarkson 24
