The queen's attendants, Dorothy Foland. Lois Chapel. Sylvia Stewart, and Kay Ashpaugh watched as a floral symbol ofroyalty was placed on Katy's head by co-captains Ron Keesling and Don Eastridge. Dick Hill. a Westfield alumnus who was voted the most outstanding athlete of the Class of '55, was also honored in the festivities. Ourqueen was the senior can- didate for the honored crown. Each class nominated one can- didate and one alternate. The student body voted on the entire slate of candidates, and the al- ternate who was in the same class as the winner became a memberof the court along with the candidates.
