Blackburn National Honor Society is a nationwide organization which recognizes the exceptional student. To be eligible for membership, students must have the following qualities: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service. They must also hold an 85721 average if a Junior or a 9092 average if a Sophomore. The Society sponsors a scholarship program which presents a pin to each student from seventh grade to tenth grade whose average is 90? or above. These pins vary from bronze to gold with an inset diamond. They are presented according to the number of consecutive school quarters in which the student maintains the required average. This year they have had several fudge sales, put on a dance called the Santa Shop Shuffle and made plans to visit Erie Playhouse. Compliments of DR. HERBERT LAUGHLIN
