Iifvrow. lo OUR VICE PRINCIPAL It is .1 privilege for me to present to my fellow Alumni, the newest .xddition to our ranks, the members of the Class of 19-43. In doing so I have no fear that they will fail to do honor to the traditions of Qur School and to the training they have received. The Class of 1943, like the Class of 1917, joins our ranks in trying times. I am sure that they, like American Youth of the Past, will rise above the Challenge poised by pre- vailing conditions and that Our Country will find in them, needed strength. Wfhile we Old Grils hue ilways been proud of Our School we have never been more so than it present 1s she meets 111 the demands mlde upon her We are proud of the Class of 1943 who in spite of unusual obstacles hlve reached the Goal of Grldu ation Arthur J Macer OUR FACULTY SENIOR HIGH Q? At last we were Seniors! Eleven long years we had struggled to get those seats, and there wasn't a one of us who wasnit a bit proud, even though we didnit admit it. XVe have had our ups and downs with work, solid session, civilian defense, the Senior play, the yearbook, history assign- ments, the opera, physical education, the draft board, dances, athletics and a myriad of other things. We even experienced the sorrow of losing one of our classmates. But with it all, we have had four years of fun and exeitement despite the cursts we have so profusely heaped upon them We only hope that succeedmg classes may get as much enjoyment out of high school as we have MARY V SKILLMAN Ad ser SENIIOR CLASS OFFICERS Alan Hatter Presldc nl Seymour Beckman Vlre PYFSIJIUIII Mary Jane Rexford Serfr lag Theodore Peck Treasure r 15 1 1 x 'E . 1 9 , , 1 ' s . s s 1 - vw L i I V , , , , - , .IANICE ANDERSON SEYMOUR BECKMAN DONALD BEERS JOSEPHINE BONGIORNO Wiaqagampaafy Llaaadanca Janlce Anderson Outstandmg personallty and wut lovely tlothes heart of gold amestown Hlgh School 1 2 3 Scnbblers 4 Gmrls Chorus 4 Operetta 4 Student Council 4 Semor Play Seymour Beckman An all around fellow who looks on tht sunny snde of lnfe sthool sports and huntml., serving, U S Army Student Assocmtnon 1 2 3 Allred uthl 2 3 4 Basketballl 2 3 4 I'ootb1ll2 3 Baseball 3 Bandl 2 3 Orchestral 2 3 4 Boys Chorusl 2 3 4 M1KedChorusl 2 3 I-InY 2 3 4 Secretary of Natnonal Honor Soclety 3 4 Donald Beers Very qulet a swell kld works at Lobllws A 1 3 4 t.
