MacKenzie, Manager, F. Kohn. SEASON SUMMARY Westfield completed a successful football season with a 7-2 record under the leadership of our new coach, Mr. William Cahee. This was the second straight year that Westfield kept its conference opponents from crossing its goal line, while scoring 117 points compared to the zero for the conference opponents. The first three non- conference games were different, beating Montello, and losing to Royall and Mosinee. The leading ground gainer and scorer was John Clark, who scored 10 touchdowns and 2 extra points for 62 points. John also gained 918 yards in 139 attempts for a 6.60 yards per carry. The one lost was to Wild Rose and lost the Pioneers a conference championship, as Wild Rose went on to win the title. However, the pioneers came on strong in tournament and gained a measure of revenge by defeating Wild Rose 3-1 for the District Tournament Championship. Westfield also de- feated W’automa in the same tournament 5-2- The Pioneers then met a strong W isconsin Rapids team in the District Tournament playoff went down to defeat 11-2. fe was a fine season for the Pioneers with a good overall record of 8-2 and a District Toons ament Championship. THE HAPPY JOURNEY TO CAMDEN AND TRENTON by Thornton Wilder is a play where there is no scenery or properties. The Kirby family traveles to Trenton to see Beula who has been sick. The play received an A rating at the league contest at Adams. Gloria Wollert was 'Ma' with the leading role and was given special recognition for the best characterization of the three plays.
