President Kennedy, and soon-to-be-retired, Ger- man Chancellor Adenauer met in Bonn during Kennedy’s successful ten-day tour of Western Europe. Quinn. HOMECOMING Again this year, Adams took quite an interest in our homecoming festivities—but the bonfire was a roaring success anyway. Tom Janke set the huge pile ablaze. Westfield had a football team to be proud of this year. The Pioneers, coached by Willard Klatt, tied Mauston Madonna for championship (the last championship was in I9b4) and finished the season with a terrific 6-2-I record. Homecoming Royalty First prize went to tne ag. hoys who proved to us that they knew how to spread those rosies . Tnat Clarion-annual float with Wo 11 Skunk 'Em really hut stunk 'ep and received second place. The Colora Grade School potted third prize wi+h their float We'll Stew 'Em. Laurie Long learned +he proper method of duck-sitting as the senior float rolled down the street. Activities The Mr. I rresistable contest, sponsored by the F.H.A. proved to be interesting for both boys and girts. Collecting the frost tickets was Gary Clark, who was presented with an engraved trophy frorr F.H.A. president. Conn ie Wal ters. Roller skating parties are always fun and this one sponsored by the F.H.A., was no exception. Adding interest to the party were special skates, such as moonl ight skates, bag tags, and two steps. The characlers included: Dennis Hockeman, Kay Alexander, yen King, John amo e11, and Barbara Giles.
