The Blue-J OL. IX 19 63 Oxford Public School Oxford, Wisconsin Then The Blue-J Staff of 1963 respectfully dedicates this Vol. IX THE GOLDEN BOOK to Six Hundred Fifteen Graduates who have completed their secondary education at OXFORD HIGH SCHOOL during the past fifty years. Now This page is sponsored by: THE OXFORD CONVALESCENT HOME Mr. MacKenzie, Mrs. McNutt, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Lloyd lend us their time for a picture. Through the fifty years spanned by the roster of this Golden Book many dedicated people have served well on Oxford's Board of Education. Their path of duty has not always led them through pleasant places or situations, yet their enthusiasm for bringing good educational facilities to our area has never wavered. Except for their tireless efforts to bring us the best that was possible within the budget, we might have had to forego many of the golden opportunities that have been ours. We salute our present Board of Educa- tion: Fred Hollender, President Cadwell Lloyd, Treasurer George MacKenzie, Clerk Mrs. Edith McNutt, Director Lawrence Lindner, Director Hubert Crass, Director Howard Smith, Director Chris Meyer, Director This page has been sponsored by: VAN ERT FOREST PRODUCTS W. J. SCHULTZ SON Wisconsin Dells  MRS. MELBA RODGER, Secretary SCHOOL EFFICIENCY (14-KARAT) Mr. George R. Nikolay came to fill the position of social science instructor at the Oxford school in mid-year of 1953. In 1955 he was advanced to the position of high school principal, and, in 1959, made supervising principal of the new combined district. As teacher, coach, and administrator, Mr. Nikolay has always seen that the job was done. He has been a shining example of clean manhood and strong leadership, and has the respect of the student body and the loyalty of his faculty. Congratulations Mr. Nikolay, for many jobs well done. We would express our thanks to the business people who have supported our venture through their sponsorships, and to Mr. Galle for his photographic work.
