Our Student Government Student Council members, left to right: Bonnie Wollert. Jane Hamilton. Ann Follett, Dean Roney. Ralph Roney, Bonnie Meyer, Bill Bohn, Yvonne Fritz, and Bill Jacobs, president, were given the re- sponsibility of providing industrious ideas and programs for the functioning of our school. Mr. Backhaus and Mr. Brenholt attended the council meetings in an advisory capacity. At the beginning of the school year, our council carried out the magazine campaign. The proceeds of the campaign are used for providing lyceum programs for the coming year. Career Day, February 10. at WHS, was also planned and organized by our student council for the benefit of the seniors from the Adams-Friendship, Montello, Plainfield, Wautoma, and Westfield high schools. Planning a lounge for the library is on the council's agenda for the future. - 16 -

Through Our Activities Our school’s extra-curricular activities provide the student with a variety of interests. Students participate in activities to achieve the learning resulting from working together. Some activities are for sheer enjoyment, while others are time-consuming and require a vast amount of work. Even though activities for students are incidental to the educational program, the advisors use them to provide learning experience. - 15 -
