It is commonplace, for example, to congratulate the graduating seniors for a task well done. Yet, in education there can logically be no end, no finishing! The more we learn, the more we realize how much we don't know. Admission of ignorance is indeed the first step toward wisdom. Some men learn slowly and comparatively little, because they think they already know almost everything. If the high school graduate has learned anything at all worthwhile, he has learned that graduation is indeed a commencement, a beginning! - 16 - LULA SANFORD Art Wisconsin State College Stevens Point FACULTY RICHARD ARNOLD Agriculture - Science University of Wisconsin NORBERT KACZMAREK Business Education Wisconsin State College Whitewater « l TH NT UH KKK KH.flT REINHARD LATZIG Science Wisconsin State College Stevens Point MERLE SHURPIT Home Economics University of Wisconsin AT WORK LOIS GOHLKE English Marquette University FLOYD BRENHOLT Mathematics Wisconsin State College Whitewater DONALD JONES English Wisconsin State College Superior KEN JOHNSON Music Wisconsin State College Superior GEORGE STEFFEN Physical Education Wisconsin State College Plattville DARLEEN LUEDTKE Physical Education University of Wisconsin Milwaukee DON LOEHNING Science-Social Science Wisconsin State College Oshkosh ELSIE CHAPMAN Library-Mathematics Wisconsin State College Stevens Point Madison Library School VERLE CLARK Social Science Lawrence College IRIS HARVEY Music North Central College Naperville, Illinois Classes i B. It was rumored that he had only faked his death and really had departed to South America to live incognito and in luxury on a fortune that he supposedly borrowed for his industries. This story was the basis of the play selected for presentation by The Senior Class and was presented April 16 and 17. The subject of the play was a murder trial, and an unusual feature of it was the recruiting of twelve members of the audience to serve as a jury. Featured members of the cast were Bill Rockefeller as the District Attorney, Dennis Weir as the De- fense Attorney, Joyce Kopp as Karen Andre, the defendant, and Phyllis Frank as Nancy Lee Faulkner. Pictured on the preceding page are members of the supporting cast. Pictures for the following cast members were not available: Margie Johnson, Jerry Long, Geraldine Wruck, Joyce Kopp, Victor Thal- acker, Joan Neeb, Mary Runnels. - 65 - WHY I AM A BACHELOR Lecturer...........Bill Jacobs Henrietta..........Yvonne Fritz Algernon...........Dennis Weir Ida May............Cheri Fullmer Aunt Emma..........Betty Rabbitt Mother.............Phyllis Frank Stage Crew.........Sharon McMahon ROW ONE: Bill Jacobs, Yvonne Fritz, Dennis Weir.
