TAKES BIG 7-C CROWN The fighting Westfield Pioneers cinched the 7-C crown by beat- ing Omro, who was not consi- dered too strong a contender. The Pioneers played alert and aggressive football in winning the first clear championship in Westfield High School history. Westfield opened the campaign by trouncing Adams-Friendshlp V3-0. Next on the list was Port Edwards going down to defeat 21-6. Then came the big one, the Homecoming tilt with the powerful Wautoma Hornets. The Pioneers won this game with a score of 13-0. Playing terrific defensive football the Pioneers won over a stubborn Omro team 16-6. The one remaining game with Tri-High was canceled because of the polio outbreak. The title was given to West- field because they were the only undefeated team.
