xx , i -W cc.. CLASS GF September 5th-and the 209 members of the class of l948 climbed the 35 con- crete steps and entered the spacious portals of W.H.S. to begin a new year. This time they came, not as timid freshmen, but as old-timers, confident and experienced, Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve is our motto. Navy blue and silver are our colors, while a pink carnation is our class flower. The energetic Mr. Iones in lO5 is our class sponsor, and Miss Murphy is our help- ful guidance counselor. Our home room teachers are as follows: Miss Guinasso, Mrs. Miles Creplacing Miss O'DayJ, Mr. Iones, Miss Percival, Miss Kittredge, Mrs. Stow, and Mrs. Roe. For the first half of the year We elected David Teece, president, Francis Pigna- tare, vice president, Grace Fitzgerald, secretary, and Fred Prystas, historian. ln Feb- ruary We changed officers, choosing David Laude, president, Eugene Reynolds, vice president, Iohn Warner, secretary. l3Ol

if r CLASS OF The dream of every freshman is to be an upper classman. We, the class of '47, have achieved that goal. One hundred ninety entered these learned portals in Sep- tember, as juniors. As of March first, eight have left our ranks for more worldly pur- suits. Our motto is Honor Lies in Honest Tail. The white rose is our flower, and our colors are navy blue and gold. Miss Coffey is our guidance counselor, and Mr. Wyman is our class sponsor. Our home room teachers are as follows: Miss lette, Miss Ripley, Miss Smith, Mr. Teubner, Miss Sawyer, Mr. Eastman, and Mr. Salford. Representing us on the Student Council are Priscilla Belden, Nancy Clark, Ioann O'Rourke, and Richard Gietek. When class elections rolled around, we chose the following officers: President, Iames O'Rourke, Vice-president, William Wesson, Secretary, Virginia Rochforcl, and Historian, Shirley Coash. Officers for the second semester were: President, Richard Oleksak, Vice-president, Donald Tuohey, and Secretary, Margaret McMahon. l32l
