Mrs. Martha Grant and Mr. Jon Wildermuth served as counselors to the underclass students. They spent much time conferring with students and giving aptitude and other such tests. Guidance director for the senior class is Mr. Ray Eiben. He had a full schedule rerninding students about the ACT, SAT, and other tests, interpreting the results, and guiding students in decisions as to colleges or after-school careers.

He initiated several new changes and reforms within the such as the passage of the new Senior English program for which he was largely responsible. His overall duties included looking after the organization and supervision of the building and the execution of all rules, policies, and regulations set down by the Westerville School Board of Education. His interests lay mainly in bettering the school for the students' use and helping them meet the challenges of education, encouraging individual development and worth, and trying to further better relationships with the students and faculty at Westerville High School. After completing his first year at Westerville High School, Mr. Albert P. Raimonde has found the school to be quite a challenge but has tremendously enjoyed the experience. His duties were rather varied. He spent much time assisting Mr. Aukerman in maintaining discipline and being responsible for the organization, supervision, and administration of the school and taking care of attendance procedures. He received both his Bachelor of Science in Education and Masters' Degree in Administration and Guidance at Ohio State University, and prior to his job at Westerville he spent seventeen years at Willard High School and last year served as principal at Clyde Junior High School in Clyde, Ohio. Elticiency in the high school oftice is maintained by Mrs. Betty Hall and Miss Zora Youmans, Their days are filled with typing teachers' tests, letters, and other materials, and organizational bookkeeping straight-besides writing excuses for late or ill students, keeping the teachers' mailboxes cluttered with important notices, and keeping the otlice girls from congregating in the cottee room. The Guidance Department could not function properly without the aid ot Mrs. Ruth Zimmerman. She spends most ot her time typing vast numbers of transcripts, recommendations, and Department notices, making appointments and writing passes for students to see the guidance counselors, and acting as temporary nurse during the absence of Mrs. Fuller. The secretaries in the Superintendent and Board of Education oltices are also constantly on the go. Mrs. Joan Gould, Mrs. Wanda Schutte, Mrs. Ruth Siegfried, and Mrs. Betty Wintermute handle affairs, visitors, and secretarial duties in Mr. McDermott's oltice while Mrs. Grace Shelley, Mrs. Joanne Burgoon, and Mrs. Helen Quackenbush take onthe vast oFHce duties in the Board of Education ottice.
