He initiated several new changes and reforms within the such as the passage of the new Senior English program for which he was largely responsible. His overall duties included looking after the organization and supervision of the building and the execution of all rules, policies, and regulations set down by the Westerville School Board of Education. His interests lay mainly in bettering the school for the students' use and helping them meet the challenges of education, encouraging individual development and worth, and trying to further better relationships with the students and faculty at Westerville High School. After completing his first year at Westerville High School, Mr. Albert P. Raimonde has found the school to be quite a challenge but has tremendously enjoyed the experience. His duties were rather varied. He spent much time assisting Mr. Aukerman in maintaining discipline and being responsible for the organization, supervision, and administration of the school and taking care of attendance procedures. He received both his Bachelor of Science in Education and Masters' Degree in Administration and Guidance at Ohio State University, and prior to his job at Westerville he spent seventeen years at Willard High School and last year served as principal at Clyde Junior High School in Clyde, Ohio. C. McDermott has the responsibility of administering the School Board's policies and managing the operation, organization, and administration of Westerville schools. He is assisted by several well-qualified administrators. The Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Ray Morris aids Mr. McDermott in making sure the school's transportation facilities are in good condition. Mr. Arnold Carlson the Administrative Assistant, also aids him in his activities. The duties of Mr. Thomas Bancroft, the Junior and Senior High School Director, entail recommending teachers, planning summer school, and assisting the teachers in obtaining instructional supplies. Mr. Philip W. Alvarado, as the school's psychologist, spends much time helping children understand their social, emotional, and intellectual developments. The Westerville School Board of Education, is chiefly concerned with the maintenance of the public schools. Mrs. Martha Grant and Mr. Jon Wildermuth served as counselors to the underclass students. They spent much time conferring with students and giving aptitude and other such tests. Guidance director for the senior class is Mr. Ray Eiben. He had a full schedule rerninding students about the ACT, SAT, and other tests, interpreting the results, and guiding students in decisions as to colleges or after-school careers.
