C. McDermott has the responsibility of administering the School Board's policies and managing the operation, organization, and administration of Westerville schools. He is assisted by several well-qualified administrators. The Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Ray Morris aids Mr. McDermott in making sure the school's transportation facilities are in good condition. Mr. Arnold Carlson the Administrative Assistant, also aids him in his activities. The duties of Mr. Thomas Bancroft, the Junior and Senior High School Director, entail recommending teachers, planning summer school, and assisting the teachers in obtaining instructional supplies. Mr. Philip W. Alvarado, as the school's psychologist, spends much time helping children understand their social, emotional, and intellectual developments. The Westerville School Board of Education, is chiefly concerned with the maintenance of the public schools.
