The LaCrosse Redevelopment Authority is reviewing final plans and specifications for the proposed Health Center Build- ing for Coleman Technical In- stitute. Six-hundred and twenty-six student stations are provided for in the health occupations, electronics, science laboratories, classrooms and institutional foods areas. The building also will provide library, cafeteria and lounge fa- cilities for student use. School SerVIces at WWTI is primarily concerned with good education of the student. For this reason, Mr. Victor Larsen serves as a very student orientated administrator. He is responsible to the District Director on matters concerning pro- gram development, instructional personnel and budget review. Mr. Larsen serves as the chief teacher certification ofiicer of the Western Wisconsin VTAE District and is a member of various state education advisory committees. In 1963, Mr. Larsen became associated with the school as its trade and industry coordinator. He was put in charge of instructio nal services for the district in 1965. Two years later, the original charter setting up the School Services Department changed his title to administrator of schoool services. One of the biggest changes Mr. Larsen notes in his department and the school is the increase in the number of staff members and programs. t'In 1973, Mr. Larsen, Admini- stator ofSchool Services, and Mr. Meinert, Public Information created a new teacher and stud- ent recruitment brochure which won the first place award of the International Association of Business Communicators. This award is the ttOscar 0f the bus- iness and industrialjoumalism field. The award is won annu- ally by only about eight nation- ally prominent concerns out of an average of 4,000 entries from the United States, Canada and the Western World? Donald Meinert November, 1975
