The Administration, Faculty 8: Staff Professionals in Vocational, Technical Education The administrative staff and faculty members at WWTI are among the outstanding vocational and technical educators in the state and nation. They devote their best professional efforts to developing new and better methods of instruction, maintaining high standards of achievements, and keeping abreast of developments in their fields. They provide opportunity for each individual to gain knowledge, skills, and an appreciation of himself. Each faculty member must conform to strict guidelines in order to be certified by the State Board of Vocational, Technical and Adult Education. 12 The WGSterrLWisconsin District Board of Voca- tional, Technical and Adult Education was appointed by several participating county boards and public boards. Its flrst organizational meeting was held at La Crosse on J uly 8, 1968. The Board is composed of six members - two representative employees, two employers, two members-at-large, and one school administrator member designated by the six representative members. These men are responsible for administration of policy in the district. The original members of the board were Roy E. Kumm, Chairman eEmployerx J . O.
