Dedicated to Harry M. Hutchison The LaTech Yearbook Staff is pleased to dedicate the 1974-75 LaTech to Mr. Harry M. Hutchison who retired last year from Instructional Research in Research and Development. Mr. Hutchison graduated in 1925 from Birnamwood High School in Birnamwood, Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor of Education in 1933 from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and continued on at the Univer- sity of Wisconsin Law School, Madison, Wisconsin. He received the Master of Education Degree in 1951 from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Hutchison accrued additional credits from Marquette University, school of Business and at the University of Indiana, Bloomington, Indiana. He was honored by the Ford Foundationis Wiscon- sin Award for Better Teachers Program in the summer of 1962. Mr. Hutchison then continued his educational experience at the Milwaukee Institute in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 1964, working on a Federal Data Processing Seminar, and subsequently a correspondence course, Chicago, in International Accountants Societx. Mr. Hutchison had wide experience in clerical accounting and auditing works and has taught at: Dorchester, Wisconsin High School thistory and social sciencei, was Dean of Men and Dean at Spencerian College, Milwaukee, and taught in the Milwaukee Public Schools, was Assistant Professor and Business Administration Department Head at Carroll College-l957-l960. Mr. Hutchison was also Business Administration Department Head and Assistant Professor in 1960 to 1963 at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. Western Wisconsin Technical Institute welcomed him in 1963 where he has been with us until 1974 as Accounting Instructor, Business Administration Coordinator, Business Division Chairman and Institutional Research Supervisor. With such an illustrious background of experience and education and many ac- complishments, too numerous to print here, we thank Mr. Hutchison for his years of service to our school and wish him well in what should be the golden years. Forward The purpose of the pictorial anthology is to provide a visual statement of who attended and a glimpse at what has happened at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute this past school year. iTis time to bid a fond farewellv-and Godspeed to' the graduates. Thereis work to be done today! Progress beckons with an eager hand, and the products of the future are waiting for fresh minds to invent and produce them. The quality of Eijobs waitingii for you today is ab- normally large. There are plenty of thema-in all shapes and sizes. Common sense tells you then that your investment in an education at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute has equipped you to meet the challenges of modern technology, and possibly has given you a glimpse of the wonder world of tomorrow. But remember-education does not stop on graduation day. All life is a time of learning and relearning. Strive for quality in your work, in your everyday life, and in your continuing education. Quality breeds self-confidence, an important ingredient in todayis world. My sincere thanks to the faculty and students who have devoted long hours so it could be said, this LaTech is the best ever.
