DECA Students for Marketing and Distribution The Distributive Education Club of America, WWTI chapter acts as a medium between the student and his future career in the marketing world. Row 5: Lynn Sime, Deb Parker, Deb Dahl, Sandy Sobkowiak, Mary my Data Processing Club Active in Fundraising Events The Data Processing Club is made up of voluntary students in the Data Processing Program at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute. The club sponsors fundraising events throughout the year. This money is used for educational and social field trips for club members and all students in the data processing program. The club also participates in data processing related events sponsored at the Office Education Association Convention every year. RIGHT: Row 1: Larry Mypus. This is accomplished through meetings with businessmen, competitive events and the acquisition of general knowledge within the marketing field.

Fashion Merchan- dising Club Gains Worthwhile Experience in Retailing The Fashion Merchandising Club is opened to all students in the Fashion Merchandising Program at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute. This year the fashion-minded group opened the Treddle Tique, a small crafts shop on campus. Aside from raising money for an educational field trip, the girls gained experience in management, retailing and general selling operations. Along ' with the worthwhile marketing ex- perience, a fashion merchandising field trip to garment shows, costume. houses and department stores in the Minneapolis area was among the profits gained from the Treddle Tique. Accounting Club Supports State Organizations The WWTI Accounting Club is a supporter of the Wisconsin Office Education Association. Aside from participating in WOEA events the organization acts as a liaison between students and the accoun- ting profession. The club actively supports and promotes the accoun- ting and business departments at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute as well as the community. Cavalcade Converts to Magazine Format This Year the monthly issues of the Cavalcade newspaper have converted to a new magazine format. The purposes of the magazine are to uphold the highest ethics of journalism, reflect successfully ac- tivities of the school, provide training ground for students interested in journalism and keep up with the best standards of modern com- munication media and the graphic arts industry. The purpose of this weekly publication is to keep students informed of campus activities, club meetings, social events, sports schedules and general school and community announcements of interest to WWTI students. The editor and producer of the Sword is Jan Remlinger, Ueftt a second year Fashion Merchandising Major at WWTI. 2l
