Fashion Merchan- dising Club Gains Worthwhile Experience in Retailing The Fashion Merchandising Club is opened to all students in the Fashion Merchandising Program at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute. This year the fashion-minded group opened the Treddle Tique, a small crafts shop on campus. Aside from raising money for an educational field trip, the girls gained experience in management, retailing and general selling operations. Along ' with the worthwhile marketing ex- perience, a fashion merchandising field trip to garment shows, costume. houses and department stores in the Minneapolis area was among the profits gained from the Treddle Tique. Accounting Club Supports State Organizations The WWTI Accounting Club is a supporter of the Wisconsin Office Education Association. Aside from participating in WOEA events the organization acts as a liaison between students and the accoun- ting profession. The club actively supports and promotes the accoun- ting and business departments at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute as well as the community. FSA Stimulates Interest in Secretarial Science The Future Secretaries of America is an organization con- cerned with stimulation of interest in secretarial science through direct association with those engaged in the profession. The National Secretaries Association sponsors the WWTI chapter and helps provide curricular meeting for its members. The NSA helps the future secretaries to recognize the importance of desirable work habits, attitudes and respon- sibilities as well- as develo leadership qualities in each individual. DECA Students for Marketing and Distribution The Distributive Education Club of America, WWTI chapter acts as a medium between the student and his future career in the marketing world. The club sponsors fundraising events throughout the year. This money is used for educational and social field trips for club members and all students in the data processing program.
