Dedication The steady growth and development of the Business Education Department of the Coleman Technical Institute is in no small measure due to the dedicated service of one of its staff, Marie Peterson. Miss Peterson came to us from Reeseville High School, Reeseville, Wisconsin, in 1935. She was a graduate of the three-year course in Business Education atWhitewater,Wisconsin. By 1945 she had completed work at summer sessions for a B.E. degree from Whitewater. The State Vocational and Adult Education Association elected her vice president of their Committee for Business Education. She servedinthat capacity for five years, and headed the local department for twenty-two years. Miss Peterson has taught typing, shorthand, filing, and accounting. Her work with handicapped students in- spired her to develop a touch system for the one-handed typist. Miss Peterson has the remarkable record of not having lost even one day because of illness. She HAS managed to break an arm--and a leg--but in a day or so she was back on the job. Because of Miss Peterson's sincere interest in the training of each student to his highest potential, we wish to honor her by dedicating to her this edition of La Tech.
