First Year Students Data processing has progressed rapid- ly the last few years, especially at C. T. I. Previously this program was comparatively small. It consisted of work on a keypunch, the sorter, the 402 Accounting machine, and the Collator. Today, in Room 101, you will also see the Reproducer, and the 604 baby Computer. By June of this year we hope to have a 1401 Computer, which is actually a big brother to the 604. C. T.l. now of- fers a two-year course in Data Processing Technology, which will train a student to become a computer programmer. Another first at C. T.l. this year was registration, recording attendance, and inventory control by means of data proces- sing.
