ur Director The time of this writing is November and the annual will be distributed at the end of the school year. I look forward optimistically to that time because I know that we will have challenged our able students to de- velop their potential abilities to the fullest. To those of you who finish your required curriculum, you have set a timely example, because the most important investment that you can make in this world today is the dis- covery and development of all your talents, This investment alone will equip you to meet the challenge of modern technology. You are equipped to do a job--do it well--give your employer more than he is paying for and you will find the results rewarding in every way. You have reached a plateau in your education--take abreath--but don't forget to keep on learning. Learn- ing will come to you in many ways, both formal and otherwise, and this is good. Don't close your mind to the ways of learning. The reward is proportionate to the investment. To those of you who are leaving--'fbest wishes and report back often. To those of you who are returning in the fall, we are looking to you for leadership in the year ahead. Sincerely, Charles G. Richardson, Director

Dedication .- We meet many people on Life' Road, but there is always one person who stands out in our minds as some- one special. Such a person is Mr. Alph M. Sorenson. Every Coleman Vocational student, at one time or another, has come into contact with his spontaneous cheerfulness, sincerity, and understanding. Every printing student will always remember his many kindnesses. llftyvll 'lfffirr ' ' Mr. Sorenson joined the Vocational teaching staff in the fall of 1920. He had just received a diploma from the 2-year course at Stout Institute. That same summer he returned to Stout to begin work toward his Bachelor of Science degree, which was granted to him seven years later. Mr. Sorenson has also done graduate work at Colorado State University. Throughout his forty-five years at Coleman, he has been building and improving the Printing Department to the degree that it is now one of the best in the State of Wisconsin. Few people realize that Mr. Sorenson is an accomplished and talented cabinetmaker. He has spent many years as an Evening School Instructor in this particular field. The 1966 yearbook staff honors Mr. Alph Sorenson by dedicating this, our first yearbook, to him.
