6, i The Cheerleaders and Pep Club lead the Warriors ln support of the team during a football game on the practice field one afternoon. Pre game cheers were posted all over the school and the biggest banners were in the central hallway. Everybody loves An Athletic Event A special cheering section was organized by members of the Pep Club who walked up and down the halls yelling and cheering for the teams. Mr Dave Price and his Western Oaks Band never failed to play at the football games. Of course, everyone 's favorite song was the fight

Assembly Provides Entertainment NANCY BROCK shows a great deal of pride THE TOP THREE winners happily display their trophies: Denise Parr, 2nd place, as she accepts the FIRST PLA CE trophy Nancy Brock, hrst place, and Janet Nichols, third place. from master of ceremonies, Keith Evans. Talented Warriors each year are allowed to audition for the annual talent assembly. This year the show was sponsored by the Speech and Drama Department with lVlr. Winters, lVlrs. Trimble, and lVlrs. Smith taking charge. Prospective performers were reviewed by these teachers, and the best ones were chosen to be in the assembly. A group of teachers judged the entries and the top three were presentated with trophies. DENISE PARR won the second place trophy by twirling fre batons to the beat of Chewy-Chewy. 35 NANCY BROCK played two musical instruments to help her win FIRST PLA CE. She played t'The Impossible Dream on the Vibra-harp and The Sound ofMusic on the pzlzno. JANET NICHOLS won third place with her musical presenta- tion of 'lThe Impossible Dream on the piano. T
