Student Council Promotes School Activities Student Council officers: Treasurer Eddie Hillg Secretary, Shelli Beaverg Vice- SfUdffVll'.C0WlCil SPOHSOVS-' MT- C G- Mill-'57, girl Paula President, Pat Collierg President, Larry White. West, Ml-is Mary Stansberryf and Mr' foe Fa ner' l The morning devotion is given by Greg Tiffany. The tasks of the Student Council officers are not always the easiest but the satisfaction of helping to make a better school makes all the hard work worthwhile. President, Larry White, presides at all meetings, appoints committees, and appears before the student body for special assemblies. Pat Collier, Vice-President, takes over if Larry is absent and heads all committees. Shelli Beaver's duties as Secretary are taking the minutes, keeping the attendance records, and writing and sending letters pertaining to the coun- cil's affairs. Treasurer, Eddie Hill keeps the financial records, orders candy, and in- forms the Student Council of its financial situation. Some of the activities STUCO sponsors during the year are 89'ers Day, Spirit Day, Twirpweek, Warrior-Princess and Class Favorite elections. Jim Meyer and Marvin Turnbow 's responsibility is to make sure the bulletin board is kept up to date, They also list the cafeteria menu daily. This year the Student Council bought trash dis- pensers shaped like Oklahoma, with the slogan 'Be a Glitter Bug, nota Litter Bug! The lost and found department, spon- sored by the Student Council help re- locate students ' lost articles. Dixie De- Pron finsidej and Melda Cannon are in charge of the booth..
