The two choruses at Western Oaks, Lmder the direction of Mrs. Patterson, presented three programs to the student body this year, one at Christmas, one at Easter and another in late spring. The Girls Chorus attended three festivals this year, at Weatherford, at Hefner, and at the High School. bined with ten other guest schools to practice for most of the day. The seventh grade chorus, consisting of mixed voices, is primarily concerned with learning the fundamentals of music such as the names of the musical notes, the count of each note, clef signs, and theory in general. A basic knowledge of theory is necessary before they can sing the music properly. In addition to theory the seventh grade chorus members also prepare songs to present at the Chorus programs that are given for the school Yfzwxy, CHRISTMAS CONCERT
