AWS and Circle K Offer Service cmd Fun Nebraska Western College's female service organization yearly sponsors a Christmas Tea for the students and faculty. They also have secret pals and exchange gifts. This year the girls also put on a free homecoming feed. As a gift to the new campus, the club donated enough money to purchase the color television set for the student body. At the year's conclusion, a surprise party honored their retiring faculty sponsor, Marie Rennecker. The common's fireplace lit up for the first time, and Miss Rennecker received a corsage, a check towards her new stero, and record albums. Promoting friendship is the goal of AWS. Circle K comprises the men's service club on the college campus. Affiliated with Ki- wanis Club, Circle K keeps busy with proi- ects throughout the year. Organization members chopped and delivered firewood on weekends, sold spirit-boosting cowboy hats, ran the royalty elections during home- coming week, held a free-throw contest for area iunior-high boys, sponsored the first NWC car rally, took under-privileged children to basketball games, and coordi- nated activities with other groups during a very busy schedule.
