Honorary Societies Set Academic Example for Students Nebraska Western College's two honor organizations are Phi Theta Kappa Scholastic Honorary, and Phi Beta Lambda Business Honorary. Membership is limited in both clubs by invitation only. Phi Theta Kappa sponsors the annual Meanest Teacher Contest and highlighted the year in the initiation of the student tutoring program. Phi Beta Lambda gives rattles quite often, two this year for a Kodak Instamatic, Polaroid Swinger, and a tapee recorder. Phi Theta Kappa officers ure: Sponsor Mr. Lukenbach, Historian Dale Mitchell, Treasurer Cindy Wiedeman, Secretary Judy Reed, and President Myron Funk. Not Pictured: Vice-President Melvin Hoke.
