Nebraska Western College's Big Penny Carnival Draws Deputy Mike Bruce and Sheriff Dave King await a busy eveni of arrests in Student Council's Jail. This year tor the first time, an all-college penny carnival was held. Organizations were invited to en- ter and booths were set up and decorated in the cafeteria. Several organization booths are pictured here, those not shown are Booster Club's Kissing Booth, DE's nickel throw, Phi Beta Lambda's camera raffle, Sophomore Class Sweet Stand, and a Free-for-all game of Pass the Body. Coke and pop- corn was there for everyone along with a thriving game of BINGO headed by Student Council. MaryAnn Walker Receives Crown During Holiday Dance Holiday festivities were highlighted by the presentation of five lovely coeds who were slected as finalists in the first Miss Nebraska Western contest. The girls: Bev Miss Gail Martin l Miss Cindy Wiedeman i 1 i Miss Paula Wells Nichols, Gail Martin, MaryAnn Walker, Paula Wells and Cindy Wiedeman, were selected by a vote of the student body and presented as finalists at the Christmas assembly. The Christmas Formal served as setting for the crowning of Miss Nebraska Western, MaryAnn Walker. Miss Bev Nichols
