U1 o.,..- CLASS 0 1945 an EBERLE Valeclrctorian HARTMANN Salutatonan GREGG 1st Alternate HONOR MEN Three outstanding cadets won positions of l-lonor Men inthe Class ol 1945 CHARLES E EBERLE JR Warren Arlcansas was named valedictorian l'le was also cadet major and honor graduate, a distinction that carried with it an appointment to West Point l-lis almost perfect scholastic record lor four years his athletic prowess which brought him stardom in Football baslcetball, and baseball, and his presidency of his class and the National l-lonor Society all marlced him as a young man ol superior leadership and ability ALEXIS HARTMANN JR University City Missouri, was chosen salutatorian Known for having one of the Finest minds and most reliable characters in school Hartmann s academic record almost equaled Eberle s l-le, too, was a cadet olhcer and a letter man in football and tennis l-le made a great record in military, astonishing the government inspectors with his knowledge of military law Like Eberle, he belonged to the W Club and the National Honor Society DONALD E GREGG St Louis, Mo , was so close to the top of the class that only a fraction ol a point in grades lcept him oJt ol hrst place l-le was named First alternate for the honor position and received a special award at commencement from Col. Jaclcson. His attainments included the Following: Cadet officer, membership in the National l-lonor Society academic editorship of the Recall and captaincy of the B football champs. These men fully deserved their honors, and their records listed more fully in the class section testify to their merit.
