There is a measure of sadness because after four years of close association we must now say farewell. But there is also a note of happiness: we are assured that, under God, you are prepared to bear witness boldly for Christ in whatever field of work He places you. You are ending your high school career, and no doubt feel proud and happy that you have had the oppor- tunity to attend a Christian high school. Your parents and teachers too, and all your friends, are proud and happy with you. May the memories of Christian High stay with you always in life: walk in the truth, therein you will find a great delight. Sincerely, The School Board EXECUTIVE BOARD - Standing: Mrs, K. Mouw, Mrs. N. Dornbos, Mrs. G. DeKruyter. Seated: Mrs. J. Volkers, Mrs. S. Dephouse, president, Mrs. W. Bishop. riociffa Priscilla P. T. A. is an organization with a mem- bership of 400 persons who are parents and friends of our Christian grade and high schools. This group works solely for the benefit of the schools, and at present one of our aims is finan- cial help with the construction of a gym-auditor- ium. A future goal is to help add new rooms to the elementary building. However, aside from these materialistic benefits, the desire of this organization is to have complete cooperation and understanding between teachers and parents, and to work together in the service of God's Kingdom, Monthly programs are planned, with student participants whenever possible. Our hearts are thankful for the gifts He has given us, and it is the prayer of the Priscilla P. T. A. that He will continue to bless us in his Kingdom. -Secretary of Priscilla P. T. A. 17 The office is the hub of the school's business activity and the details flow efficiently through the hands of Mrs. Sovacool. Besides dispatching her regular secretarial duties she is always a friend to all. Q! ice Students helping the office with attendance records are Francine Vander Wel and Carol Vanderlaan. Dick is synonymous with order and cleanliness at W. M. C. He is never seen without some tool of his trade and is never too busy to unlock some door or clean up some room forthe use of others. Although marriage took the wonderful cooking of Mrs. Weesies, formerly'Mrs. Zcmdvliet, away from us, Mrs. Boeve and Mrs, Vriesman are still turning out the best school lunches found any- where. 6l :50lfLlfL8 20 nl an GRADUATES sl sv X Nr We have crossed the bay- tlae ocean lies ahead. 3 Q 1 2 5 Judy Schalk, Treasurerg Carolyn DeKruy9er, Secretcryg Edgar Meyering, Vice-president: Jack VanderPIoeg, President ZVLLOI' 361,155 WACQP5 22 3 1 JAKE ACHTERHOF General SHARON KAY BOES J College Preparalory Student Council 25 G,A.A. l,2,3,45 Missions 2,35 Future Teachers 4 lVice-president 415 Y-Teens 2,35 Cheerleader 2,3,45 Sophomore Play Cost5 Senior Play Cast5 Choir 3,45 Glee Club 3,4. As an immigrant from Scotland, Marshall became a Presbyterian minister. The play deals with his life when he was pastor at New York Avenue Presbyter- ian Church in Washington, D. C. Today Peter Mar- shall is regarded as one of the greatest ministers America has known. The play was directed by Mr. Walhout and Mr. Boer- man and was presented two nights in Angell School auditorium, where it drew capacity crowds. Public response was so favorable that two weeks later there was a re-Peter in the Grand Haven High School auditorium. wa, Peter Marshall .s.....,........., Catherine Marshall ...... ,... Spring and fall concerts were presented in coniunction with the Band. Climaxing choir activities were two performances in Grand Rapids: the first at the District Festival, and on May 4 the choir ioined other midwest Christian High School Choirs to participate in the annual Calvin College Festival. Zim! The Band increased its membership this year so more new uniforms were needed. A worthwhile money-making project undertaken by the band was selling po- tato chips at noon and after school. Some of the band members formed a Pep Band which frequently played at basketball games. The band presented spring and fall concerts and participated in the District Band Festival at Grand Haven. 56 ? y 57 Front Row: llene DeWind, accompanist, Wayne Bomgaars, Robert Jager, Gordon Stegink, Gordon VanHuis, Edgar Meyering, Phil Hollar, Gordon Wolffis, Irwin Wolffis.
