School is over now and you are going out to make your own way in a world of opportunity. You should be prepared to make good use of the opportunities which are yours. However, in looking for opportunities, avoid opportunism, which is taking advantage of others in order to advance one's self. Opportunism is not in keeping with Christian principles for success. What opportunities will you have as you leave School? One of the opportunities you will have all through life is the privilege to make friends. Someone has said that a man is known by the company which he keeps. With the opportunity of forming friendships comes also the responsi- bility to influence one's friends for the right. You will have many opportunities to disci- pline yourself. ln the home and in school others have corrected you and directed your activities to a large extent. If you would succeed in life, you will need to assume the responsibility of your own discipline and direc- tion of your activities. There may be factors, such as abilities, aptitudes, finances or other circumstances which may decide to some extent what your vocation will be, and yet it is your opportunity to evaluate these factors and decide on a voca- tion. lt is important that what you choose is something in which you will be happy, and in which you can supply some needed goods or service for humanity. Opportunities for Christian service and witnessing will not be lacking. The opportuni- ty of Bible reading and prayer is yours, and in this you want to be faithful, lest opportunities for evil overtake you. The world needsa helping hand and the witness of a true Christian. This is your opportunity. God bless you, Seniors. Very sincerely, V Afizff-V --QQ Lia, X..,a.-.Q,sn..41g Edwin L. Keener
