Mrs. Smith hos been Choir- mon of the English Deportment for the post three yeors, teoching Ad- vonced Plocement English, ond Vonguord English I ond ll in the process. Mrs. Smith is o veteron of Western Hills, orriving on the scene os the doors to the new school opened in 1966. Her octivities hove been mony ond voried. Drowing on her personol ex- perience os o former cheerleoder ot her high school, Mrs. Smith spon- sored the Cougor Cheerleoders ond Spirit Club. Mrs. Smith holds Bochelor of Arts ond Moster of English degrees from the University of Nebrosko. She olso took coursework ot T.C.U., Eost Texos Stote, ond T.W.C. Mrs. Smith is constontly keeping up with chonges in the teoching profession, ond seeking methods to improve instruction in her clossroom.
