Knowledge Gained by Vanous Ways of Teaching Various methods of learning were illu- strated by the Math Department. Three new additions to this department were Mrs. Melva Ezell, Mr. James Johnson, and Mrs. Winifred Taylor. Mrs. Mary Barron, Mrs. Frances Coon, and Mr. Ben Standifer used new methods of teaching by employing over- head projectors, special projects, individual teaching, and other reading material. Com- puter math was taught by Mr. Neil Boyd along with Mr. Edwin Kahler teaching advanced work in math. Mrs. Maurine Mul- lins and Mr. Claude Little were assigned to a majority of the freshman math classes. Re- lated math, geometry, and algebra were brought out by Mrs. Imogene Williamson and Mrs. Delores Wright. RIGHT: Open House was an opportunity for math instructor Mr. Edwin Kahler to meet some of his students' parents. BELOW: The ERI equipment is used in Mr. Neil Boyd's computer math course. RIGHT: Mrs. Frances Coon believes it is sometimes easier to understand a geometry proof when it is drawn on the board.
