Student Council--LUNCHROOM-LEFT TO RIGHT-J. Sweet, Lampe, May, Yamaguchi, Smith, Moak, Bolinger, Garrison, James Bauer Wander Brech, Dugger, Lane, Bryant, Sander, Powell, Sahm, Lutz. Re-organization requires planning as members work together . . . Student Council must also grow with the school and this year's organization had to make changes to meet the needs of Western Hills. The three assembly plan called tor reorganization into three divisions co-ordinated by on executive board. Considerable time was required in writing a new constitution and getting adjusted to the new methods. However, Student Council members also devoted time to other pro- jects, one of which was a movie. The lunchroom was cheered with the enjoyable music from the record player provided at the request of the homerooms, and action was taken to have a menu in the lunchroom for next year, Thus Student Council closed a successful year with a feeling ot service well done.

Student Council aims toward stronger school spirit LEFT TO RIGHT-Brech, Frank, Linton, Wander, Lane, Suggs. Student Council's Courtesy Month found many making extra special efforts to brush up on their consideration for their school and associates. At least for four weeks you could hear students speaking cheerily to teachers, or refraining from pounding their plates in the Iunchroom and some even threw waste paper in the cans for that purpose. Special assem- blies, homeroom discussions, and posters en- couraged these aims toward a stronger and more profound school spirit, 20 Carmen Brech, james Frank, Mary Ann Lin- ton, Herbert Wander, Bob Lane, illustrate courtesy to fellow students as they help Shirley Suggs pick up her books. janet Pfaff, jo Anne Rogers, Betty Koontz, james Bauer, and Stuart Bollinger pick up papers in the hall.
