Our principal, our riend, our advisor ln mathematics we learn the axiom, The whole is equal to the sum of its parts. This universally accepted fact is not limited to mathematical application. Some individuals do not develop their whole selves. Some seek only the sensual satisfactions, some strive mostly for acquisition of material, and others, perhaps too few, ore concerned chiefly with social and spiritual welfare. We believe the whole individual recog- nizes and exercises all of his talents and thus establishes a balance in his own life. A school or community recognizing imperfections and limitations of its constituent individuals should likewise endeavor toward a wholeness. Our school consists of many individuals-pupils, parents, teachers, citizens, officers-striving to render many services in many and varied directions to the end that ours is a balanced community. lf our world is to be a balanced world, we must all recognize there can be no iron curtains, forgotten areas, or isolationism, but a true oneness or wholeness with all parts-nations and peoples-working together as players on a gigantic team.
