And so, it is the aim of the language teachers of XVestern Hills to teach us the tongues of our now close neighhors and allies that our lives may hecome as one life. For, it is only in this way that we can all reap of the harvest of heauty and plant the seed of peace in this, our world, In addition to knitting together the relations of the countries of the world, foreign languages furnish the people of America with a heauty and romance that is a change from English and yet which serves to enrich it. Vvfandering through our foreign language department, Wilhur saw the French, Spanish, German, and Latin classes in action: he heard the poetry and songs of foreign nationsg he ohserved the many activities that seemed, at times, to arouse discontentment. But disf satisfaction occurs everywhere and much credit must he given to our language teachers for their success in making this year an interesting, profitahle one. The world of tomorrow is oursg it is ours to guide and develop, Our knowledge of foreign languages will he invaluahle to its future progress. At the upper left hand corner ls Mi'. K. Heninger or Mrs, H. Staufler. They not only help us to plan a wellfrounded school program, hut also a suitahle professional or husiness career. Here we see Mrs. Heninger discussing with a senior the possihilities of the plastics industry in the post-war period. The senior has shown interest in this particular tieldx therefore, the counselor explains to him the ways in which he might follow up his interest in plastics, and learn how he might find out the position he fills hest in the industry. Also we see Mrs, Staurler giving advice to a senior ahout the Air Corps as the counselors have to many young men. The counselors have done a truly magnificent joh: even with the added war duties, to help to prepare youth for their place in the armed forces and for their life's ainhition
