Instead of having regular meetings with the entire club present, the members come in whenever they feel creative. Ceramics Club sold pots at Christmas, which were enjoyed by everyone who bought them. All together. the club turned out some very interesting and beautiful things. The club's advisor was Mr. Neil Jensen. The officers were President-Mark Ohls, Vice-President Susie Girgen, Rick Lane, Treasurer- Michelle Dawson, Secretary- Cathy McKinney. 28 Clubs 5,-A The Future Business Leaders of America had a busy year keeping the Stu- dent Store stocked with candy and other snacks. On April 29th F.B.L.A. took off for San Francisco. They re- turned with money for the Student Store and many happy memories of a happy trip. All in all, F.B.L.A. had a very enjoyable year. The cIub's advisors were Mr. Hippie and Mr. Crosby. L. TO R. Michele Perreira, Tammy Cason, Jamye Mc- Mickell, Rose Chiacchiera Terry Schwark LEADERS lnterCIub Council is com- posed of the executives of all of Western's clubs. Under the leadership of President Tom Brannon l.C.C. was very active this year. They sponsored the annual Country Fair and helped to make Western more spirited than usual by sponsoring Spirit Week. The other officers who con- tributed alot of time and effort were Vice- President - Debbie Ishii, Secretary- Kerry Pelo- quin, and Treasurer- Juliea Darr. ROW 1-Juliea Darr. Club helped to do its share in promoting the foreign exchange program. They sold See's Suckers, and worked at the concession stands during football season. The club also held an International Day They had various students come and visit from other schools and answer questions. They also sold A.F.S. Bonds to help raise money This year's officers were President Irma Gan, Vice-President Linny Markoff, Secretary Pam Shozi, and Treasurer Valerie Squires N.H.S. A.F.S. ROW 1- Tom Brannon, Madoka Hewson, Monica Juh- kam, Andrea Bloom, Lorrie Gillet. ROW 2- Harriet Smith, Stephanie Bauer, Kris Harris, Lisa Lernoux, Nella Jamison. ROW 3- Anna Krieger.. Sue Rooke, Melisa Peters, Margie Love, Brenda Saucy. ROW 4- Richard Dunham, Lori Cid, Maureen Horngren. ROW 5- Dan Tumbelson, Ann Kalinak, Terri Wsol, ROW 6- David G. Smith, Laurie Biggor, Valerie Squires, ROW 7- Irene Vega, Janice Morrisey, Debbie Ishii, Pam Shozi. N.H.S. members are selected on the basis of char- acter, scholarship, leadership, and service. They must also meet certain qualifications and have the approval of faculty and administration. They must maintain a GPA of 3.2, plus a set of academic points. For fund raising, N.H.S. sold helium balloons for Homecoming and participated in the Country Fair. This years officers were President Janice Morrisey, Vice-President Debbie Ishii, Secretary Pam Shozi, and Treasurer Irene Vega.
