iw? 1 :Hep X1 ,Q ISEB UU WESTER YUUTHS, SEE TRAMPI GWITH THE FUREMUST, aided juniors during delivery of 1973 class rings. t ', 11Qg,JfS1i? entered scholarship contests with the help of Nlrs, Cota. Successful ventures must be led by able leaders - leaders who can communicate with their followers. At Western, leaders took the form of administrators and faculty, with their disciples being students. Western's administrators and faculty were not ab- solute leaders, but more of a guide - offering assistance to anyone asking. Associations such as this made it easier for students and administrators to exchange thoughts, questions, and ideas. In addition, students helped other students, and gave their time and understanding to others. Mrs. Maus handled student funds during the course of the year. PIONEERSY 0 Pl0NEERSl-ll

DUW THE EDGES, THRUUGH THEP SSES, UP THE MW TAI STEEP, To break loose, to let go, to go their own way - West- ern students learned the hardships of blazing their own path. Many obstacles stood in the way - such as difficult exams, crowded hallways, and winding speedlines. Western youths chose not to follow the crowd - and though the roads were uncertain, most survived. Despite the fact that all the students attended the same school, each selected a slightly different program - one that reflected the individual. Countless problems faced many, but somehow, through all the hardships, Western Pioneers pressed forcefully on. Each gained a private reward. PIONEEBS! 0 PIONEERS!-13
