UU DUB. SHARP-EDGED A ES? ' Arrival at Western marked the beginning of a nine-month learning experience. The first few weeks were spent buying supplies, checking out books, and meeting teachers. Armed with the Weapons: curiousity, determination, and youth, Western students set out to discover and learn. Students had access to machines and equipment - which would help to build a solid foundation for a future vocation. Classrooms gave way to shops, labs, and even fields. Involvement highlighted school, and activities supple- mented schoolwork. Through countless ages the axe has been a vital tool and it still holds its place in the work of Pioneers.
