Tomorrow As unpredictable as the people who compose the world we know. . . This tomorrow must be faced by millions of people who hold as many different outlooks upon it. Idealistic youth wish to change it, but even we cannot agree upon a single solution to the wor1d's problems- violence: racial, ecological, and economical. Most of us will inwardly rebel against the system, then become part of it. The dreams of youth will fade into the memories of yesterday, or perhaps become a bleak hope for the next generation. Tomorrow will be a voyage into the dark void of time, through which we all must pass. Some of us will travel as leaders, paving the way for the more abundant fol- lowers. Some of us will seek the light of knowledgeg others will find security in whatever place they find them- selvesg and some of us will never be able to find ourselves at all. . . The graduating class of Westem discovered that senior portraits, graduation announcements, keys, robes and thank you notes would comprise a greater portion of their senior year. Graduation culminated on a tearful evening in June. At that point, teachers and administrators ceased to control the collective plans of the class of '71, and each student became an individual who would have to find his or her own way in life. With mixed emotions, students suddenly became people. The brand of school name, serial number, and grade-point average was removed, and each individ- ual knew that he himself would have to choose the titles which would place him in the future.
