The enthusiasm generated during that week was projected throughout winter and basket- ballseason. The seasons changed with the scenery and so it was on the Westhi campus. Heavy rains turned the Senior Circle into a semi-lake and leafiess trees gave the school a barren look. Along with winter came a new array of festivities. The student body saw many months of hard work rewarded as the Student Park was finally dedicated. The Christmas Formal and Sweetheart Ball exemplified the social scene at Western, while Seniors began to think seriously about college entrance exams and academic records. Everyone ardently welcomed Christmas vacation as a relief from their studies, only to return to semester finals. With most of the year elapsed, the student body was ready for spring and its thoughts of grad- uation and the close of school. ...
