A varied testing program provides information on indi- vidual abilities and aptitudes all of which is of much help to each student. Problems of study difficulties, minor discipline difficul- ties and emotional upsets are all within the daily routine of the staff. Miss Blemker and Mr. Bales, Qleftj are of immeasurable help to Juniors. They make available information on vocations and colleges. Another important phase of their work is constant checking to see that students are taking proper courses for their varied abilities. Sophomore Counselors Mrs. Douglass and Mr. Wilkoff help Sophomores plan schedules for their school year. They also spend much time helping to place students in the classes that will benefit them most. Head Counselor Qleft in picture below to the rightj Mr. Baarstad and Mr. Konarska advise Seniors. Administrators Foster Spirit Members of the Administrative Staff occupy a dynamic position in the life of our school. They help initiate and foster a wide variety of programs, both curricular and extra curricular that have kept us on our toes. Vice-Principal John McGrew Qrightj puts a tremendous amount of push and vitality behind our athletic programs, organizations and social activities. To him also goes a great measure of credit for our high standard of student body behavior. He is respected for firm and fair disciplin- ary 1'I'le3.SUICS . Vice-Principal Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold fthird from left belowj schedules classes, assists in curriculum development, aids in girls' counseling and is occupied in other details found in the demanding job of a vice principal. Attendance Director Glen Dysinger fleftj operates a highly efficient attendance office. Too efficient, some have found to their regret. Mrs. Fort is Mr. Baarstad's secretary and deals with testing of students. Mrs. Camp bell is concerned withthe many records at Western.
