While at Western High School you have spent eventful years, eventful in your personal lives and in world aHairs. It is my hope that in the future you will find these years a bulwark against the stresses of adult life. The great gift of your school to you is that of stability. You are graduates of a fine school, one whose standards and ideals are drawn from the best in old Baltimore and whose present philosophy is based on confidence in the in- dividual girl of today. Shoddy materialism and selfish practices, so frequently found in life, are never permanent, but integrity, honor, and beauty are eternal.
