Harris, Band Director; At the Southeastern Band Festival in Bristol, Tennessee, the Western High Marching Band was ready and proud and again marched to the tune of a NUMBER ONE rating. The hot summer practices were worth it! The friendly smiles of the flagettes at parades, at ballgames and at the competition performance; the polished shoes, the cleaned uniforms, the squared shoulders of the band members all added up to the point of perfection. The leadership and challenge from Mr. Eddie Harris provided the basis for the pride and popularity of our band throughout the entire year. Band technicalities are explained by Mr. Harris. 23
