The smiling faces of six sophomores and four freshmen have made up the J.V. cheerleading squad for the 1972- 73 school year. Through a lot of hard work and co-operation the cheer- leaders have led the fans in cheering their J.V. team on to victory. Even though hose were run, bloomers were forgotten, and mud-caked saddle-oxfords were worn home; it has been a rewarding year and an un- forgettable experience for each J.V. cheerleader.

This year has been one of defeat for the Freshman basketball team, but you will hear no one say it was because they did not have the ability to win. In each of these boys’ lives there was a lot of hard and long hours built in. From the experi- ence gained, a number of these players are looking forward to joining the J.V. team next year. S. Activities of Varsity Cheerleaders have consisted of summer camps, painting school trash cans, making posters, planning pep rallies, gen- erating pep and enthusiasm, selling booster badges, sponsoring a bake sale, homecoming, sparking coopera- tion from each individual and PRAC- TICING.
