Smiles and Cheers Aid Grapplers. WRESTLING AUXILIARY, SEATED, Left to right: Z. Ross, S. Boles, V. Wade, S. Somers, A. Pride, C. Lowe, T. Aldridge. STANDING: T. Valentine, E. Swift, K. Gwynn, D. Cantrell, S$. Madkins, P. Crutchfield, R. Barnhardt, R. Rascoe, L. Stegall, C. Ward. Every team needs to know that there are people who care enough to want to share in the work which goes along with the activity. This has been true for the wrestlers as the Girls Auxiliary helped to boost the morale of the team. The auxiliary kept the score, ran the clock, and sold concessions to the spectators. It is great to have an auxiliary to represent our school and our wrestlers. T. Aldrdige, Vice-president; C. Ward, Pres- ident; and L. Stegall, Secretary help keep score for Western Wrestlers. 124

It's One, Two, Three, You're Out! 123 Our wrestlers represented us well this year as they worked hard to win over their opponents. Under the new coaching of Jim Melton and Danny Barnette, the wrestlers captured many victories. The highlight of the season was the Burlington Sec- tionals which saw Arthur Tillotson, Ronnie Saul, Mark Daniely, and Randy Wright, as champions and Steve Grant as the Most Valuable Wrestler. Our four sectional champions represented us at the state championships held in Raleigh. Authur Tillotson won first place in the 129 pound class, giving him a 27-0 record for the year. LEFT: J.
